HOUSE ELEVATION SYSTEM

By JRR Corporation

Offering a flood-resilient, on-demand elevation solution for new homes, and adaptable retrofitting for existing or newly built suspended homes in high-risk zones.

What Is the House Elevation System?

What Is the House Elevation System?

The House Elevation System (HES) is a patented Australian innovation that allows a home to be lifted above floodwaters — only when needed. Installed during construction, the HES is fully concealed within the building’s structure and activates in response to flood events, raising the home to a safe elevation using an internal pulley and counterweight system. Unlike traditional solutions such as permanent stumps, levees, or house relocations, the HES preserves ground-level living and only activates when flood risk arises.

BENEFITS AT EVERY LEVEL

A smarter approach to flood resilience.

With flood risks on the rise and premiums climbing, the HES is more than just a solution — it’s an investment in long-term liveability.

Homeowners:

Peace of mind, lower insurance premiums, and preserved property value

✔ Governments & Councils:

Reduces demand for relocations, rebuilds, and emergency aid

✔ Insurers:

Dramatically lowers exposure to claims from flood damage

Developers & Builders:

Adds premium resilience with minimal footprint impact

Communities:

Reduces displacement and strengthens neighbourhood stability

Planning Authorities:

Aligns with performance-based NCC compliance and future policy directions

Built for the homes that need it most.

Designed for Flood-Prone Australia

From Queensland’s riverbanks to the floodplains of Northern NSW, thousands of Australian homes sit in areas exposed to recurring inundation. In many of these zones, land is either underutilised or classified as “unbuildable.” The HES offers a breakthrough alternative — enabling new homes to be developed with built-in flood protection, without needing permanent elevation or community relocation.

IDEAL FOR
1

Government housing programs

2

Modular and prefab housing

3

Post-disaster redevelopment sites

4

Voluntary buyback alternative projects

Opportunities are available to

  • License the IP (exclusively or non-exclusively) for use in a defined territory, sector, or building type
  • Acquire full or partial rights to commercialise, adapt, or integrate the system at scale
  • Collaborate on technical refinement in exchange for preferred deployment or market access

With growing government focus on flood mitigation, insurance challenges in high-risk zones, and a shift toward performance-based building compliance, now is the time to lead in resilient housing design.
